Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Reinforce if necessary and mark drain location.
Connect the drain to existing plumbing following local codes. Test for leaks before proceeding.
Install a pre-sloped shower pan or create a mortar bed with a 1/4 inch per foot slope towards the drain.
Apply waterproofing membrane over the entire shower area, including walls. Pay attention to corners and transitions.
Apply thinset mortar and position the drain. Ensure it’s level and properly aligned before allowing to cure.
Begin tiling from the drain outwards. Use spacers for consistent grout lines and cut tiles as needed.
Apply grout between tiles, clean excess, and allow to cure. Seal around drain edges to prevent water infiltration.
Install the drain grate flush with the tile surface. Conduct a final water test to check drainage and for leaks.
